Consurgo and Sustainability
Often, in the United States, the term “sustainability” brings to mind concepts of recycling and reducing our carbon footprint. The Consurgo Initiative takes sustainability a step further in our partnership with global entrepreneurs in developing nations. Consurgo raises our awareness to the reality that, for most people in the world, sustainability must begin with meeting the basic needs necessary to sustain life. The Latin word “Consurgo” means to rise, stand up, or to break out. Together, we can stand up against poverty with sustainable global business solutions.

Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs
The Consurgo Initiative begins by addressing basic physiological and safety needs. Consurgo makes peoples’ lives better, meeting basic human needs so that people in developing countries can focus on thriving rather than on just surviving and getting by.
